This case arises from an attempt by Joseph Schwing, a Baltimore City firefighter, to recover workers' compensation benefits for a disablement arising from his cardiovascular disease, which he contends qualifies as a compensable occupational disease under Maryland Code, §§ 9-101(g) and 9-502 of the Labor and Employment Article (1991 Repl.
