Following a jury trial, defendant-appellant Thomas E. Kneeland, Jr. was convicted of conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and criminal forfeiture for his role in a fraudulent scheme to solicit borrowers to pay "advance fees" in connection with loan transactions that defendant never intended to consummate. Kneeland appeals his convictions, asserting that the district court unconstitutionally deprived him of his Sixth Amendment...
