Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of first degree murder (felony murder), armed robbery, and unlawful use of a weapon. 720 ILCS 5/9-1(a)(3), 18-2(a), 24-1(a)(4) (West 1994). Defendant was sentenced to concurrent terms of 20 years' and 15 years' imprisonment on the murder and armed robbery convictions, respectively, and a consecutive sentence of 2 years' imprisonment on the unlawful use of a weapon conviction...
