We determine in this appeal whether the government may introduce certain evidence in its retrial of the defendant-appellee, Lourdes Gil. In the government's first trial of Gil, a jury acquitted her on a charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute but hung on a charge of conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute.
