STOVER, Justice.

Jerry Albert Sims was indicted for the possession of controlled substances—cocaine and methamphetamine. After a hearing on, and denial of, Sims' motion to suppress, the trial court deferred the adjudication of guilt and placed Sims on community supervision for a period of three years.
