Following a jury trial in the Superior Court, the defendant-appellant, Melissa Benton ("Benton"), was convicted of Felony Theft and Falsifying Business Records. She was found to have embezzled funds in the course of her employment as an accounts receivable clerk. In this appeal, Benton does not contest the merits of her convictions.
