The issue presented is whether a final protective order designed to prevent family violence is a final, appealable judgment. See TEX. FAM.CODE ANN. § 85.001 (Vernon Supp. 1998). This type of order has been held to be interlocutory and unappealable by other courts of appeals. E.g., Normand v. Fox, 940 S.W.2d 401 (Tex.App.—Waco 1997, no writ).1...
