On October 4, 1990, Velton Tucker, Jr., and his wife, Pamela Tucker (plaintiffs), were released in bankruptcy pursuant to Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. On April 3, 1991, Louisiana Department of Revenue and Taxation (defendant) filed a tax lien against Velton Tucker and Slidell Camera Center1 for the sum of $2,685.82, sales tax liability incurred October, November, and December of 1987.
