Appellants M.E.S. and M.J.S. (plaintiffs) appeal after the trial court denied their motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict, or in the alternative, for a new trial. They sued the Daughters of Charity Services of St. Louis, Inc., d/b/a DePaul Hospital (DePaul), Jerold J. Kreisman, M.D., P.C., and Dr. Jerold J. Kreisman (Dr. Kreisman), for medical malpractice while M.E.S. was a mental patient at DePaul in October, 1993. The jury found for defendants...
