The central issue on appeal in this marital dissolution is whether and to what extent an interest in stock option and retention stock benefit plans provided by a spouse's employer constitutes marital property. We conclude that such plans, in the instant case, constitute marital property and that a time rule should be applied to determine to what extent the stock options and retention shares were earned during the marriage.
