Thomas A Lott, a helicopter pilot for the Louisiana State Police, was fired in December 1995 for "dishonorable conduct unbecoming an officer" and "basic disloyalty to the State Police" after he allegedly wrote one anonymous letter and seven pseudonymous letters to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other public officials attacking his supervisor.
