On this appeal, we review the lower courts' rulings on the necessity of expert opinion testimony on the causation of equine lameness and the admissibility of a proposed expert's opinion. Respondent Joseph Gross commenced an action against appellant Victoria Station Farms for injuries to Gross's horse, Traffic Secretary, that allegedly occurred while Traffic Secretary was boarded at Victoria Station.
