Defendant Cassius R. White ("defendant") was convicted, after a jury trial, of attempted murder, a class A felony. The jury also found defendant to be a habitual offender. The trial court sentenced defendant to forty-five years for the attempted murder conviction enhanced by twenty-five years for being a habitual offender, for a total of seventy years.
