After a two-day trial in 1992, a jury convicted Jeremiah Jacobs of three offenses related to marijuana and one offense related to methamphetamine, see 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1), § 841(b)(1)(B)(vii), § 841(b)(1)(B)(viii), § 856(a)(1), and of using a firearm during and in relation to a drug offense, see 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(1).
