A jury sitting in the Circuit Court for Carroll County1 convicted appellant, Timothy Bryan Chase, of first degree rape, first degree sexual offense, kidnaping, robbery, and related offenses. The court then sentenced appellant to life imprisonment, and concurrent terms of 35 years, 25 years, 25 years, 25 years, and seven years.
