The parties were married in June 1974 and have no children, although plaintiff has two adult children from a previous marriage. During the marriage, plaintiff and defendant acquired several parcels of real property, primarily located in Rensselaer County. In May 1993, plaintiff filed for divorce alleging abandonment. At the conclusion of the trial, Supreme Court granted a divorce to plaintiff and awarded equitable distribution of the marital property....
