On March 28, 1996, the Municipal Court of Lawrenceville convicted Clifford Davis of driving under the influence of alcohol. Davis appealed to the superior court, and the City of Lawrenceville (the "City") moved to dismiss the appeal.1 The superior court subsequently denied the City's motion to dismiss and ultimately reversed Davis' conviction based on the sufficiency of the evidence.
