Defendant, Kenneth Reed, Jr., was charged by grand jury indictment with the following offenses: Count I, aggravated rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42; Count II, aggravated burglary, a violation of La. R.S. 14:60; and Count III, attempted second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and 30.1. Defendant pled not guilty to the charges. Following trial by jury, defendant was found guilty as charged on Count I, guilty of the responsive offense...
