On July 21, 1995, Lisa Adams was killed in an automobile collision in Georgia. Her parents filed a claim with their auto insurance provider, Illinois Farmers Insurance Company ("Farmers"). Farmers denied the claim and filed this declaratory judgment action to decide whether it bears any liability arising out of the accident.
