On February 11, 1997, the defendant, Lewis Womack, was convicted by a jury of robbery in the first degree (§ 569.020, RSMo 1994) and armed criminal action (§ 571.015, RSMo 1994). He was sentenced as a prior offender to concurrent terms of ten years and five years.
