GREMILLION, Judge.

In this case, the defendant, the Louisiana Patient's Compensation Fund (LPCF), on behalf of Dr. Thomas Ford, appeals the rulings of the trial court finding that as a result of their insured's malpractice, the plaintiff's minor son suffered serious injury and awarding damages. For the following reasons, we affirm.
