Plaintiffs own property in the City of Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, which they leased to defendants for a one-year period commencing on June 1, 1996. In September 1996, they commenced this action seeking damages for defendants' alleged breach of the lease, namely, their failure to pay rent.
