LAVORATO, Justice.

A jury convicted Taneka Ellis of first-degree burglary. She appeals, contending the district court used the wrong standard in denying her motion for new trial. We agree. We reverse and remand with directions.

Ellis and several of her friends forced their way into Teria Marks's apartment, ostensibly to get to the root of rumors. Ellis's friends included Tammika Bradford, Dee Harrington, Angela Smith, Jatonna Clark...
