Pursuant to jury verdict, the defendant-appellant, Richard A. Larsen, was adjudged guilty by the district court of two counts of murder in the first degree, in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-303 (Reissue 1995), and two counts of use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, in violation of Neb. Rev.Stat. § 28-1205 (Reissue 1995). Larsen was sentenced to life imprisonment for each murder conviction and to 15 to 20 years' imprisonment...
