NEWMAN, Justice.

Appellant Steven J. Duffey (Duffey) has filed a direct appeal1 from the Order of the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County, entered December 2, 1996, which granted the Commonwealth's Motion to Strike Duffey's Amended Petition for Relief pursuant to the Post-Conviction Relief Act (PCRA).2
