After pleading not guilty, Richard Galvez was convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery; the jury also found that he used or exhibited a deadly weapon. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 29.02, .03 (West 1994). The trial court sentenced appellant to serve concurrent sentences of thirty-two years' imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice—Institutional Division.
