FITZGERALD, J.

Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of first-degree murder, M.C.L. § 750.316; MSA 28.548, and two counts of assault with intent to commit murder, M.C.L. § 750.83; MSA 28.278. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the murder conviction, and to life imprisonment for the assault convictions. Defendant appeals as of right. We affirm.
