We hold that an offer of settlement pursuant to Hawai`i Family Court Rules (HFCR) Rule 68 (1982) may be made concerning any item as to which "a decree or order" may be entered, and is not required to encompass all issues in a divorce proceeding. This interpretation comports with the express language in HFCR Rule 68 and facilitates the settlement of disputed issues.
