STEPHAN, Justice.

Following a jury trial in the district court for Lancaster County, Michael E. Johnson was convicted of first degree sexual assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He was sentenced to consecutive sentences of 6 to 10 years' imprisonment on the sexual assault conviction and 3 to 5 years' imprisonment on the weapon conviction. The convictions and sentences were affirmed by the Nebraska Court of Appeals in a memorandum opinion filed on May 14...
