STATEMENT OF THE CASE:

On September 22, 1994, the defendant was charged by grand jury indictment with one count of first degree murder. He entered a not guilty plea on September 27, 1994. Subsequently, the defendant filed a motion to suppress the confession he gave to police regarding an unrelated crime, sought to be introduced in the instant case by the State. On August 22, 1996, the State filed a notice of intent to introduce evidence...
