In June 1995 an indictment was returned charging defendant Henry Arellano as a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). He was given notice that he qualified for treatment as an armed career criminal under 18 U.S.C. § 924(e) and that conviction would result in imprisonment of a 15-year minimum.
