OPINION

FOWLER, Justice.

Over his plea of not guilty, a jury found appellant, Valentine Facundo ("Facundo"), guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child under fourteen years of age. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 22.021 (Vernon 1994). The jury fixed punishment at thirty years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
