This appeal is representative of a problem repeatedly encountered. It involves the failure of one convicted of a crime to prosecute her appeal with due diligence. Often, the appellant is free on bond during the appeal. Under this situation, there is little impetus to prosecute the matter for the longer it is delayed the longer she is certain to remain free.
