BACKGROUND

From 1988 to 1992, Vynnette Hamanne was under the psychiatric care of Dr. Diane Humenansky. In 1994, the Hamannes filed suit against Humenansky, alleging malpractice for planting false memories of sexual abuse in Vynnette Hamanne which resulted in severe physical and emotional injury. The Hamannes' claim went to a jury trial and in 1995 they obtained a verdict of $2.67 million in damages...
