The appellant, Antonio Ayers, was convicted of capital murder and theft of property in excess of $2,500.00, for the February 25, 1995, murder of William Hall and subsequent taking of Hall's vehicle. Mr. Ayers was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole on the charge of capital murder and twenty years in the Arkansas Department of Correction on the charge of theft of property.
