Sarith Peou appeals from his conviction of two counts of murder in the first degree while committing aggravated robbery, Minn. Stat. § 609.185(3) (1996), for the killing of two St. Paul residents in July 1996. The jury also found him guilty of two counts of murder in the second degree, Minn.Stat. § 609.19, subd. 1(1) (1996), but acquitted him of premeditated murder in the first degree.
