Annette Robinson died in her home on December 12, 1989, from carbon monoxide poisoning caused by her family's use of a liquid propane gas space heater. In several capacities her husband, Eddie Lee Robinson, sued Star Gas of Hawkinsville, Inc., the liquid propane supplier, as well as the hospital and emergency room physicians who treated the family several nights before Ms. Robinson's death.
