This case, concerning an allegation of ineffective assistance of counsel, due to the failure of defense counsel to tile a motion to suppress evidence, presents the issue of whether, under the doctrine of apparent authority, a 1978 search involving a father's consent to the search of his son's bedroom by police officers was valid. The search of a bureau in the bedroom, located on the top floor of Wright's parents' home, turned up items introduced...
