In March 1992, Geary L. Dandridge was convicted in the district court for Lancaster County of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced as a habitual criminal to concurrent terms of 15 to 30 years' imprisonment. His convictions and sentences were affirmed by the Nebraska Court of Appeals. See State v.
