STEWART, Judge.

Defendant, Gerald Owens Bates ("Bates"), pled guilty to the amended charges of count one, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, a violation of R.S. 40:967; and count two, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, a violation of R.S. 40:979 and R.S. 40:967. On count one, the trial court sentenced Bates to eighteen years at hard labor with all but the first nine years suspended. The trial court fined Bates $2,000, subject to payment during the term...
