This is an appeal from a default judgment in a vehicle collision case. Raymond R. Bekker and Lucille Bekker, Individually, and Raymond R. Bekker, Independent Administrator of the Estate of Terry Ray Bekker, Deceased, ("the Bekkers") brought suit against Richard P. Seib ("Seib") and others alleging that the defendants were liable for the death of their son, and seeking survival and wrongful death damages. For reasons not material to our holding today...
