INTRODUCTION

Ted Townsend was indicted by an Atascosa County grand jury for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Townsend's daughter, Tammy Lynell "Nell" Townsend, alleged that he had sexually abused her on at least two occasions when her mother was not at home.
