Steve Thornton was indicted for the possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute it, the simultaneous possession of cocaine and a firearm, and the possession of more than one-half ounce but less than five pounds of marijuana. The trial judge granted in part Thornton's motion to suppress evidence seized from his apartment, but denied the motion to suppress his statement to the police. The Commonwealth appealed pursuant to Code § 19.2...
