On October 20, 1994, defendant, Brian Wilson, was charged with aggravated battery (720 ILCS 5/12-4(b)(8) (West 1994)). On January 10, 1995, defendant was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (720 ILCS 570/402(c) (West 1994)). Defendant posted bond for both offenses.
