James Arthur Price, Jr. (defendant), a juvenile transferred to the circuit court for trial as an adult, was convicted on indictments charging robbery and the related use of a firearm. Defendant complains on appeal that he was denied a speedy trial in violation of Code § 19.2-243. Finding that defendant was continuously in custody in excess of five months from the finding of probable cause to the commencement of trial, contrary to statute, we reverse...
