HARRIS, Justice.

There are four assignments of error in this appeal following convictions of first-degree kidnapping in violation of Iowa Code sections 710.1 and 710.2 (1995),1 and of willful injury in violation of Code section 708.4. Like the court of appeals, we find no merit in the assignments and affirm both convictions.
