James Murray, a creditor of Steven Bammer, appeals a judgment of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel ("BAP") affirming a judgment of the bankruptcy court. The BAP concluded that Bammer's actions in causing financial harm to Murray were not "malicious" within the meaning of 11 U.S.C. § 523(a)(6), and that Bammer's debt arising from that harm was dischargeable.
