This is a personal injury case. The eleven month old baby of defendants Robert B. and Catherine S. Worley jabbed plaintiff Paulette Tokar Whiteman in the right eye with a ballpoint pen. Ms. Whiteman suffered a corneal abrasion which healed satisfactorily. However, soon thereafter, Ms. Whiteman developed an infection in her eye, which eventually was diagnosed as the sexually-transmitted disease chlamydia.
