On January 9, 1996, petitioner was riding as a passenger on a bus owned by respondent when the bus was involved in an accident with another bus. Petitioner suffered back and neck pain as a result of the accident and sought medical treatment the following day. In the ensuing months, she was unable to return to work and underwent physical therapy. During this time, she received no-fault insurance benefits for her lost wages and medical expenses...
