Walter Goodwin, Jr. was charged by grand jury indictment with the first degree murder of Craig Thompson. Mr. Goodwin was convicted by a twelve-person jury of second degree murder, and was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
